Read It Later gives you a number of ways to customize the application. All of the options available are detailed below.

Main Options

Reading

Fullscreen (Pro Only)

If fullscreen is activated, whenever you are reading an article, the controls on the top and bottom of the screen will disappear to give you the entire screen for your reading. To bring the controls back, tap the expand icon in the lower left corner.

Scrollbar

The scrollbar allows you to quickly move through long articles. To use it while reading, simply hold your finger on the right side of the screen. When it appears, you can drag it up and down to move through the article.
Note: If need be, you can move the scrollbar to the left side of the screen under Advanced Options

Advanced Options

Offline Data

Clear Downloaded Files

Use this if you would like to clear all of the files Read It Later has downloaded for use offline. You will have to redownload your pages before going offline again.

Clear Cookies

Sites that require logins may store cookies in Read It Later's browser. If you need to delete them, use this to clear any stored cookies.

Auto Download

Only on WiFi

If you have a limited data plan, you may not want Read It Later to download all of your articles using your hard earned bandwidth. Use this option if you'd like Read It Later to only auto download articles if you are connected to a wifi connection. If you enable this and do want to download articles while on a data network, you can still initiate the downloads manually. Learn More

Reading

Lefty Scrollbar

Moves the scrollbar to the left side of the screen.

Auto Mark as Read (Pro Only)

Automatically marks pages as read when opened for more than 5 seconds.

List

Auto Sync

When enabled, Read It Later will automatically update your reading list when opened.

Show List Counts

When enabled, the number of items in your reading list and currently reading list will be displayed on Read It Later's start screen.

Show Count On App Icon (Pro Only)

When enabled, the number of items in your reading list will appear on the Read It Later icon on your device's springboard.

Exclude tagged from list (Pro Only)

If you'd like to use tags more like folders, this option may help your workflow. When tagged items are excluded from your reading list, they only appear in their tag lists. So for example, if you had 2 items in your list and tagged one 'my tag', then your reading list would only show 1 item and the tagged item would only appear when viewing the items tagged as 'my tag'.
