The climate crisis is escalating and no place on Earth is being spared. Rising temperatures, extreme weather, melting ice, dying reefs, climate refugees—it’s all so heavy and overwhelming. How does one person meaningfully engage?

One way is by finding like-minded people with deeper knowledge, and giving them the resources to fight better. While individual eco-friendly actions are important, they won’t drive large-scale systemic change alone. The climate crisis needs collective action, so we’ve rounded up organizations you can donate to, advocate with, and learn from.

This is not an exhaustive list—there are thousands of organizations around the world that do this work. These 10 organizations are a small but impactful sample, tackling climate change via policy work, community projects, and legal action. Read on to get involved and help them help our planet.
